Educate Yourself:

Today, there is so much available information pertaining to learning disabilities, executive functioning, ADD/ADHD, social skills and many other topics related to students with disabilities.  It can be difficult to keep up with the latest and most accurate research, so we'll try to make it easier for you by posting a different article or website link each month...those we believe have something important to say!  We hope that the chosen topics will benefit parents, families and educational professionals alike.  Enjoy!  Please click here for this month's article.

Where reading begins-

On Tuesday, October 29, our Middle School students were treated to a visit by Alex London, the amazing author of action-packed books for young adults.

Alex, who used to have his own adventures around the globe as a photo-journalist, is now the author of the award-winning Accidental Adventure and Dog Tag series written for young teens, Proxy written for older teens, and books like One Day the Soldiers Came: Voices of Children in War for older readers.

Our Middle Schoolers were mesmerized by his presentations and are looking forward to reading all of his books.

Author/Illustrator Jarrett Krosoczka will be visiting in less than three weeks! The creator of the beloved Lunch Lady graphic novel series has also authored almost a dozen picture books and, most recently, a chapter book! If you are interested in purchasing a book for the author to sign (and draw a picture in!) please be sure to return your book order form by next week. For more information about the author, his visit, or to print a replacement book order form, please visit our the ES Library website!
