Online Databases

An online database is a database accessible from the Internet. Databases are organized and searchable sources of information.

How Do I Use a Database?

Databases are very useful tools to access when you are writing a research paper. They can include images, movies, magazine articles, periodicals, journals, newspapers, reviews, pamphlets, eBooks, dictionaries and encyclopedias. All of these sources must be cited in your research paper's bibliography.

This page includes all of the Middle/High School's Library's databases. These references are also available with your NYPL library card.  If you need assistance navigating through these databases, please see Rachel Berkey, Head Librarian.
